AP TET 2024 Cutoff: Normalisation of Scores

The process of converting scores obtained on different scales to a common scale is referred to as "normalization of marks" in the context of the AP Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). The AP TET normalization formula ensures a balance between the difficulty levels of different exam shifts. This process guarantees fair evaluation of candidates, regardless of the varying difficulty levels of different exam sessions. The scores are determined by taking into account the performance of candidates in their respective sessions as well as in other exam sessions. The computation of raw scores involves factors such as the average marks of the top 0.1% of candidates across all test shifts, the total mean and standard deviation of candidates' marks across all shifts, the average marks of the top 0.1% of applicants in a specific shift, and the sum of these parameters.
