Bengaluru Girl Achieves 99th Percentile in her First GMAT Attempt

19-year-old, Annie Vinod Manjila of Christ University, Bengaluru scored 760 out of 800 marks in the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) in her first attempt, thereby securing the 99th percentile in one of the leading management entrance exams.

Annie is a final year student of Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) at the Christ University . She took to a rigorous training schedule at the coaching centre named Top-One Percent in Koramangala that helped her beat the odds to crack the test with a convincing score.

Interestingly, according to reports, she was initially nervous about being from a non-engineering background and the fact that there were people from big multi-national companies who took the GMAT training session at the same centre where she had enrolled. However, her determination and hard work worked wonders for her.

Rarely, it so happens, that a candidate is able to secure such a high percentile in the GMAT exam. With only an undergraduate degree background, Annie is looking forward to securing a seat in the Master in Finance and Economics programme at the Oxford University or the London School of Economics or the London Business School. GMAT is one of the other additional criteria that will help her seek admission in the top postgraduate study schools in London, United Kingdom . Her career aim is to major in micro-financing to be able to help the SHGs or the Self Help Groups and become a social entrepreneur.
