Bihar Board 10th Grading System 2023: Know marks required for first, second and third division

As per the Bihar Board 10th Grading System 2023, students who get 300 marks or above will be first division, 225 to 299 will get second division, and 150 is the minimum passing marks.

Bihar Board 10th Grading System 2023: Students who have appeared for the Bihar Board 10th exam 2023, may note the grading system to know their grades when the results are released. The Bihar Board has been following the same grading for a long time now, and most of the students may already be aware of it. However, to confirm the grades, it is best to note the Bihar Board 10th Grading System 2023. The board recognizes only three divisions, and students shall be attaining any of the three divisions as per the total marks obtained by them or they will be considered as failed. So, all test takers may take time to calculate their total and identify their divisions accordingly.

Below is a table for the Bihar Board 10th Grading System that will help the students to identify their divisions better:
Bihar Board 10th Grading System Marks Required
First Division Total marks 300 or above
Second Division Total marks 225 to 299
Third Division Total marks 150-224
Failed Total marks 149 or below

Students shall note that the maximum total marks is 500, which is the total of the maximum marks for all the subjects that students have appeared for. The Board will also declare the toppers list of the state, who have achieved the highest marks out of all the students who have attempted the exam in the entire state.

Further, candidates shall also note the minimum passing marks for each subject and overall to know if they have qualified or not:
Passing Marks for Each Subject 30 Marks
Total Passing Marks 150 Marks

If any student fails to obtain the passing marks in a particular subject but passes the total marks, he/she will be considered as failed as well. Students will have to obtain the minimum passing marks for each subject to qualify the exams. If students have failed for one or two subjects, they may appear for the compartmental exams, but if he/she has failed all the subjects, they will have to necessarily take the year to appear for the Bihar Board 10th exam next year.
