CAPF Recruitment 2023: The Home Ministry, on Saturday, released a circular approving the conduct of the CAPF Recruitment 2023 Examination for Constable (General Duty) in 13 regional languages apart from English and Hindi. The decision was made to help candidates overcome the language barrier and encourage them to join the Central Armed Police Force. CAPF Recruitment 2023: List of Languages for Exam

As per the latest notice, the entrance exam for CAPF Constable GF Recruitment 2023 is to be conducted in the following regional languages from January 1, 2024:

1. Assamese

2. Bengali

3. Gujarati

4. Kannada

5. Konkani

6. Malayalam

7. Manipuri

8. Marathi

9. Odia

10. Punjabi

11. Tamil

12. Telugu

13. Urdu

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), which are responsible for conducting the Computer-Based Test for Constable (GD) recruitment across CAPF, CRPF, BSF, SSB, CISF, ITBP, and Assam Rifles, will facilitate the changes by signing an addendum to the existing memorandum of understanding.

So far, the recruitment exam for various CAPF posts was conducted in English and Hindi, which restricted lakhs of aspirants from taking the test due to a lack of comprehension of the languages. The new circular was released in the wake of political leaders and Chief Ministers from South India slamming the conduct of the exam in only two languages as ‘discriminatory’ towards those candidates belonging to states where Hindi is not spoken.

Home Minister Amit Shah took to his Twitter handle, stating that this decision reflects the Prime Minister’s commitment to developing and encouraging regional languages and will push the youth to participate in CAPF Recruitment 2023.
