Based on the previous year’s trends, the expected cutoff details and the shortlisting criteria have been analyzed. In 2023, the CAT qualifying cutoff for the General category candidates was 82. As per the experts, the expected general cutoff for this year will be the same.
As per the PGP admission policy of IIM Visakhapatnam, the candidates will be selected based on the CAT score, work experience, academic performance, and diversity factor. However, the final admission to IIM Visakhapatnam will be conducted in three phases, such as the CAT exam score, PI, and final selection of candidates. For the same, the PI shortlist form will be published in the first week of January 2025 and the PI will take place in April 2025.
CAT 2024 IIM Visakhapatnam Shortlisting Criteria: Expected WAT-PI Cutoff
As per the IIM Visakhapatnam admission criteria 2025, the first stage of shortlisting will be done based on the minimum section-wise and aggregate CAT cutoff percentile obtained by the candidates.

Note, that the CAT cutoff marks are nothing but the minimum qualifying marks which are considered for the WAT-PI round. And the same will be available only after releasing the CAT 2025 result.
