CBSE Class 12 Sociology Weightage 2024: Across the two major units of the paper, the CBSE board has kept the marks distribution equal i.e., 40 marks per unit. In Unit A, Chapter 1 Introducing Indian Society is non-evaluative and except for the two chapters Chapter 8 Structural Change and Chaper 9 Cultural Change in Unit B which have a weightage of 5 marks each, all chapters are given a weightage 10 marks each. Aside from the chapter-wise theory paper weightage, the in-depth marks distribution for practicals and the distribution based on typology of questions is also provided below on this page.
