Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay has brought some changes in the exam pattern and syllabus of the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) and Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) 2023. The authorities have announced the revised exam pattern and syllabus for UCEED and CEED exam on the official website, uceed.iitb.ac.in and ceed.iitb.ac.in. As per the official announcement, the revised exam pattern and syllabus will be implemented from 2024 session.
CEED, UEED 2023 Revised Exam Pattern
There will be two parts in the question paper, Part A and Part B. No changes will be implemented in Part A paper pattern. There will be three sections remaining the same in Part A, such as NAT, MCQ and MSQ. Part A exam will be a Computer Based Test (CBT).
In Part B paper, a topic has been added and therefore, the time duration of this part exam will be extended to one year. Nonetheless, the process of Part B examination will be the same as previous. The candidates will find the questions on the computer screen and then they have to write the answers on the answer sheet. The Part B answer sheet will be provided by the Invigilator.

CEED and UCEED 2023 Syllabus
Check the Part A syllabus, which remains the same. The Part A topics are:
- Practical and Scientific Knowledge
- Environment and Society
- Language and Creativity
- Visualization and Spatial Reasoning
- Observation and Design Sensitivity
- Analytical and Logical Reasoning
Note: The candidates had to answer questions only on the topic of Drawing previously, whereas, after revision, Design Aptitude is the new topic to be added in the Part B syllabus.
