The state has been facing heavy rainfall in several regions for the past two weeks. This has forced the schools to remain shut in Chennai for some days. The government has asked the district authorities to monitor the weather conditions and announce a holiday in all schools up to Class 12th to remain closed until 15th November 2024. However, the students and the parents are awaiting an official announcement for the holiday.
