CUET 19th July 2022 English Question Paper: Phase I of the Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET) for 2023-24 admissions is being conducted on July 15, 16, 19, and 20. Day 3 of the examination was held on July 19, following the same pattern as that of the other days. The test was held as computer-based in two slots per day. Slot/Shift 1 was conducted for 150 minutes from 9 AM to 12:15 AM while Slot/Shift 2 was held for a lesser duration of 90 minutes from 3 PM to 6:45 PM.

Language Section is a compulsory section for both slots wherein 13 choices of languages are provided and the language chosen in Slot 1 cannot be repeated in Slot 2. This page discusses in detail the memory-based questions asked in the English Language for both shifts. The English section asks a total of 50 Multiple-Choice Questions of which candidates have to answer any 40 within a duration of 45 minutes. Each correct answer awards +5 marks while each wrong answer deducts a penalty of -1 marks. The total marks allocated to Language Section are 200 marks.
