Students seeking admission under sports quota in Delhi University are nervous as the Joint Admission Test (JAT) 2018 exam date is clashing with the sports trial for 10 games. Students who are in the race for the both (JAT and Sports Trial) are confused whether to choose JAT or appear for admissions basis the sports trial.
DU will conduct JAT 2018 for the admission to BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies), BBA-FIA (Financial Investment Analysis) and B.A (Hons) Business Economics on June 22, 2018. DU offers 1,147 seats in these courses and the admission for the same is based on the marks scored in the entrance test and Class 12 merit.

On the other hand, Delhi University is also going to commence the Sports Trial from June 22, 2018, for the admissions under sports quota. All DU colleges reserve 5% seats under ECA and sports quota. In all, 63 DU colleges offer 1,700 seats in UG courses under sports quota.
JAT 2018 exam will begin at 8:00 AM and will continue until 10:00 AM. On the other hand, Sports Trial will begin at 7:00 AM. It is not possible for the students to attend both.
On June 22, 2018, DU will conduct Sports Trial for the following games: -
- Table-Tennis (Men)
- Kho-Kho (Men)
- Kabbadi
- Swimming
- Diving
- Cricket (Women)
- Basket Ball
- Ball Badminton
- Athletics
- Archery

Responding to the issue, the officials of DU assured that students appearing for JAT 2018 exam would be allowed to take part in Sports Trial after the exam. These students will have to send someone on their behalf with a copy of students’ admit card and an application seeking to give trials later. The admit card and documents must be submitted to the officials present at the venue so that JAT 2018 applicants can participate in sports trial after the exam.
