Entrance Exam to be introduced for B.Sc Nursing Admission in Andhra Pradesh

VIJAYAWADA: NTR University of Health Sciences has decided to introduce a seperate entrance exam for B.Sc Nursing admissions in Andhra Pradesh as per the guidelines of Indian Nursing Council. Last year, AP B.Sc Nursing admissions were based on the ranks scored in AP EAMCET and till 2023, the admissions were based on marks scored in Intermediate. The authority has decided to do away with AP EAMCET for B.Sc Nursing admissions and conduct a seperate entrance exam. The admission will purely be based on the rank scored in the entrance exam. NTRUHS is expected to release the official notifciation for AP B.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam 2025 in April. Through this entrance exam, almost 12,000 Nursing seats available in 2560 colleges across the state shall be filled. There will be convenor quota counselling followed by Category B (Management Quota).

AP B.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam 2025: Important details

Here are the important details regarding AP B.Sc Nursing entrance exam 2025 -

• The mode of exam will be online, i.e., Computer-based Test
• The entrance exam will be conducted after the conclusion of NEET UG entrance exam
• The syllabus of the entrance exam will be based on IPE Biology, Physics and Chemistry subjects
• Details regarding the entrance exam and detailed syllabus shall be published in April (at least 45 days before the entrance exam)
• The results of entrance exam are declared in the form of ranks
• The rank scored in AP B.Sc Nursing entrance exam 2025 shall only be considered for admission under Convenor Quota and Managamenet Quota
• NTRUHS AP will the authority for conducting the entrance exam, declaring results and counselling process
• Model question paper for the entrance exam will be uploaded along with the official notifciation in April
• NEET UG score/ rank is not considered for B.Sc Nursing admission in AP, and the candidates must appear for the Nursing entrance exam
• 85% of seats are filled through convenor quota while 15% of seats are considered under Management quota
• Only AP domicile students are eligible for admission through convenor quota

Students who are already preparing for the BPC stream of AP EAMCET need not worry as the syllabus of Nursing entrance exam will be on the similar lines of AP EAMCET BPC syllabus.
