Important Guidelines Related to GATE Admit Card 2025

• Candidates should print out the GATE admit card only in the A4 sized paper using a laser printer and then they preferably attach a coloured photo
• Candidates are also advised to visit the exam centre which is mentioned on the admit card a day before the exam, so that they will not face any hassle on the examination day

No, there will be extra time for the candidates. Only the 40% disabled candidates will get extra one hour time to complete the GATE exam.

• Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities

• Mode of the exam: Computer Based Test
• Exam duration: 3 hours
• Section: General Aptitude + Selected subject by the candidates
• Type of the questions: MCQ, MSQ and NAT questions
• Duration of marks: General Aptitude: 15 marks and Subject Questions: 85 marks
• Total marks: 100
• Marking Scheme: Questions carry 1 mark or 2 marks

As per the exam time schedule, the GATE exam will be conducted in two shifts:

• Forenoon Session: 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM
• Afternoon Session: 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM

GATE Admit Card 2025: What is the Reporting Time?

As per the instructions, the candidates should reach 60 minutes before the GATE exam time. They can report the latest before 45 minutes. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre after the reporting time.

• If the candidates are with benchmark disability (not less than 40% disability) in the category of blindness, cerebral palsy, locomotor disability, the facility of scribe can avail

GATE 2025 Admit Card: Exam Day Instructions

Candidates will find the following instructions mentioned on the GATE admit card, candidates should follow those instructions on the exam day.

• Candidates should not forget to carry the GATE admit card (printed) in the exam hall
• Candidates do not need to carry the electronic gadgets to the exam centre such as the mobile phones, calculators, pagers etc
• Only need to carry the original photo IDs
• Do not reach to the GATE exam centre after the reporting time
• Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam hall before the exam ends
• Do not wear any digital watch inside the exam centre
• Candidates should carry their own blue or black point pen

The IIT Roorkee has not yet declared the official time of releasing the GATE admit card, tentatively the same will be released either in morning by 11 AM or in the evening by 10 PM.
