Students found the paper exceptionally challenging, with lengthy case studies, complex numerical problems, and questions that exceeded the syllabus. Specifically:
Three questions were outside the syllabus, covering the topic of "Grouping of Resistance" in Set 55/6/1: Questions 2 and 17, Set 55/6/2: Question 7, and Set 55/6/3: Questions 1 and 8
Two questions contained errors, causing confusion among students: Question 30(ii) (All Sets): Two options seemed correct, leading to confusion and Question 26 (Set 55/6/3): Error in the question.
The CBSE's physics paper has sparked widespread outrage, with students demanding grace marks for the flawed questions. An entrepreneur has threatened to take legal action if the board fails to ensure a fair evaluation. While the CBSE is yet to respond, students will receive grace marks for the errors only if the issue is taken to court and the court orders so. Otherwise, it is most likely that CBSE will not allot any grace marks.
A physics teacher expressed concerns that the paper's extreme difficulty has demotivated students and exacerbated depression. Set 3 was notably the toughest, with a significant disparity in question quality compared to other sets. A Congress member has criticized the CBSE, questioning their motives and urging an investigation into the inconsistencies between sets.
Students have taken to social media to express their frustration, with one user stating, "CBSE really did us dirty with this physics paper. Not a single familiar question, nothing like NCERT, and we had to solve it in three hours. Even the SQP was a lie, way easier than this nightmare. CBSE doesn't care about students' mental health, just about making exams pure torture."
