Parth Chowdhary, who hails from the town of Vadodara, has emerged as the CAT 2021 topper in the state of Gujarat. He is among the 19 candidates who scored 99.99 percentile in CAT 2021, thus making him one of the second highest scorers in the exam. His feat was revealed when the results of CAT 2021 were announced on January 3, 2022.
In 2019, Parth had also topped the class 12 board exams in Gujarat by scoring 98.80% marks. He obtained the highest-ever marks in the commerce stream of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in Gujarat. Chowdhary had lost his father while preparing for his class 12 exams but he did not let the tragedy deter him from his goal.

A student of the Delhi Public School, Kalali, Parth dedicated his CAT 2021 result to his late father, Sudesh Chowdhary. He revealed that his father still serves as the constant and most intense source of motivation for him. He further stated that his CAT score is the first step towards getting into his dream business school, IIM Ahmedabad .
Currently, Parth is pursuing the non-technical course of BA (Honours) Economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi . When he took admission in class 11, Parth had initially opted for the science stream but he decided to shift to the commerce stream a fortnight before his mid-term exams. He stated that he never felt any disadvantage of coming from a non-engineering background, especially in his CAT preparation .

Parth's mother, Rachna Chowdhary, is a homemaker and also contributes towards social welfare. Speaking about his future plans, Parth said that he always believed in dreaming big as that is the first step towards success. He expressed that his well-equipped mentors had a significant role to play in him topping his graduation entrance exams.
Additionally, he made it a point to never miss a single workshop and mock test during his preparation. Chowdhary compared his CAT preparation to a marathon run and kept himself constantly motivated.
