APAAR ID for NEET Registration 2025: To ease down the educational records system, the Ministry of Education has focused in the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR). India wants to track roughly 30 crore students from school to higher education, and this is what this initiative is about. This directive by the Education Ministry is supported by the National Testing Agency (NTA), who has asked students to use their APAAR ID and Aadhaar authentication in the course of the NEET UG 2025 registration and examination process. According to the NTA, the NEET UG 2025 registration shall commence soon and the use of updated credentials, including APAAR and Aadhaar IDs, will help to simplify the verification process and enhance the integrity of the exam.

What is APAAR ID?
APAAR is a part of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) and National Credit Framework (NCrF). All the students in the country will be given a unique 12 digit APAAR ID that will consolidate all their academic records till life time. This ID will be a ‘One Nation, One Student ID’, and will be a digital academic passport to track all the educational achievements.This initiative is being supported by the direction given by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to higher education institutions to upload the last three years' credit data on the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) portal by June 2025. By 2024, this will allow 4 crore students from 1,855 academic institutions to have their record digitally available.

How to Create APAAR ID for NEET Registration 2025?
Given the importance of the AAPAR ID, all the students especially the students preparing for NEET UG 2025 should apply AAPAR ID before filling out the NEET UG 2025 application form. Students must be aware that their names as per the UDISE+ record should match with their Aadhaar, PEN (Permanent Education Number) for registration to APAAR. After that, students can start with the steps shown below to register for APAAR and create an APAAR ID:- Verification: Check demographic details at the school.
- Parental Consent: If the student is minor, then get the parents’ consent.
- Authentication: Use school to authenticate identity.
- ID Creation: Once verified, the APAAR ID is created and submitted in DigiLocker for secured online access.
