
IIT JAM M.Sc Physics Seat Matrix 2025 : Candidates can check out IIT JAM M.Sc Physics seat matrix 2025 here. The seat matrix has been provided for all participating institutions offering the said course, and for all categories such as General, EWS, OBC, SC, and ST. IIT Bombay and IIT Guwahati have the most number of vacancies for the M.Sc Physics programme, i.e., 60. Within this 60, there are separate reservations for all categories. Check out the table below to know.
Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria of each institute to seek admission. The requirement for all institutes is a B.Sc./B.S. degree with Physics for at least two years/four semesters and Mathematics for at least one year/two semesters with no restrictions for engineering degrees, except for IIT Dharwad, IIT Gandhinagar, and IIT Palakkad. The requirement for IIT Dharwad, and IIT Palakkad is Bachelor’s degree in Science with at least 2 years (4 semesters) of study in Physics, and 1 year (2 semesters) of study in Mathematics. B.Tech./BE degree in any branch of engineering; and JAM (Joint Admission test for Masters) qualified in Physics (PH) Bachelor’s degree, respectively. There is no restriction for admission to IIT Gandhinagar.
