IIT JAM First Admission List cum Seat Allotment 2024 (Image Credits: Pexels)IIT JAM First Admission List 2024: Once the first admission cum seat allotment list for IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test)-2024, the shortlisted candidates need to follow the guidelines shared by IISc Bangalore. As per the schedule, IIT JAM First Admission List 2024 was to be released on May 31 but it was preponed and released on May 29 . Hence, the candidates must be ready with the prerequisites for the steps to be taken afterwards.
A candidate has three options once his/her name has been reflected in the seat allotment result for IIT JAM Round 1. A candidate can only Accept & freeze, Accept with upgrade, or Reject and Quit. Check the detailed list of instructions to be followed after the IIT JAM First Allotment List has been released.
IIT JAM First Admission List 2024: What to Do After Seat Allotment Result?
The applicants have only three options to select from after they have been shortlisted in the IIT JAM 2024 Round 1 seat allotment result:
Accept and Freeze: The applicants have to log in using their IIT JAM credentials and select this option if they do NOT wish to upgrade the allotment and accept as it is
Accept with Upgrade: The applicants can select this option if they wish to Skip the allotment and expect an upgraded seat in consequent rounds of counselling
Reject and Quit: This option is for applicants who do not wish to continue the admission process. Their offered seat will be cancelled and they will be removed from all further rounds of counselling. For the Reject and Quit options, they must provide the OTP (One Time Password) received on the registered mobile number
Important Note: The candidates selecting either of the two options- ‘Accept and Freeze’ or ‘Accept with Upgrade’, they have to pay an online participation fee of Rs 15,000 (Rs 7,500 for SC/ST/PwD) to confirm their seat/participation. This fee will be adjusted in the admission fee of the respective college afterwards.
