The duration of the course is of 1 year. This course has 2 semesters of 6 months each. The Railway Ministry offers concessions or benefits for this course. Any Railway personnel opting for this course will meet the criteria for the promotion to all the Engineering Group C category selection posts for Railway Employees. People having a diploma degree can enrol in the Institution of Engineers as a senior technical member.
IPWE Diploma in Railway Engineering Eligibility Criteria 2019
The eligibility criteria of Diploma in Railway Engineering 2019 are different for railway personnel and a non-railway person.
The Diploma in Railway Engineering eligibility criteria 2019 is that the candidate has to have 3-year Diploma in any engineering discipline from any central or state-recognized college. Candidates having a graduation degree in Engineering or Science discipline are also eligible for the Diploma in Railway Engineering. Aspirants having Science or Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects in Plus 2 or Intermediate of S.S.C are also eligible for this diploma course. However, railway personnel needs to have 3-year work experience in Railway or diploma of 3 years in any Engineering discipline from any central or state-recognized college.
Note: The employees of CONCOR, CRIS, DFC, RVNL, DMRC, MRVC, RITES, IRCON, and other Railway PSUs fall under the category of Railway Personnel.

IPWE Diploma of Railway Engineering Application Form 2019
Candidates can get the Diploma of Railway Engineering application form 2019 along with the prospectus from Institution of Permanent Way Engineers (IPWE). Aspirants need to pay a certain amount i.e. application fee for the Diploma of Railway Engineering application form 2019. IPWE Diploma of Railway Engineering Application Fee 2019
Candidates applying for the Diploma of Railway Engineering need to pay the Diploma of Railway Engineering application fee 2019 along with the application form. Candidates can either pay cash or pay by bank draft. Candidates paying the application fee by cash need to pay Rs 150. Whereas candidates paying the application fee by Bank Draft need to pay Rs 200. The draft should be made in the favor of IPWE payable at New Delhi.
The non-railway person opting for the Diploma in Railway Engineering through email need to make a Demand Draft of Rs 3100 in the favor of IPWE.
