JEE Main 25th July 2022 Shift 1 Analysis

JEE Main July 25 Shift 1 Analysis: Day 1 and Shift 1 of JEE Main 2022 Session 1 took place on July 25, and the overall difficulty level of the exam was 'Moderate' . The exam is being carried out in two shifts per day of three hours duration each. Shift 1, whose analysis is discussed in detail here, will be held from 9 AM to 12 Noon at designated centres as a computer-based test. The question paper for JEE Main 2022 examination is based on three subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) which hold an equal weightage of 30 questions each. For every subject, 25 questions out of these Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) while the remaining 5 questions are Numerical Aptitude Type (NAT) questions. However, 10 NAT questions are asked out of which only five are to be answered. As is known, JEE Mains exam has negative marking and so as per the given rules, a -1 mark will be deducted as a penalty for every incorrectly marked answer while +4 marks will be awarded for accurately marked answers.

Major Highlights of JEE Main July 25 Shift 1 Analysis (First Reaction)

The first reaction of students after the JEE Main July 25 Shift 1 exam is as follows -

  • The overall difficulty level of the paper was  moderate
  • The difficulty level of the Physics was moderate to easy
  • The difficulty level of Chemistry was easy and NCERT
  • The difficulty level of Mathematics was moderate but lengthy. However, the Mathematics section was doable
  • There were questions from AC Conductor, Communications, Electromagnetism, Organic Chemistry, Statistics, Mathematical Reasoning, Current Electricity, Electrochemistry, Chain Reaction
  • The difficulty level of the NAT questions was moderate
  • According to some students, the question paper of Session 2 was easier than Session 1
  • Some students felt that the Mathematics section was a bit hard
  • A few students reported that the syllabus coverage was equal in Shift 1, and there were questions from almost all chapters

Conclusion of First Reactions: Overall, the Shift 1 paper of JEE Main 25th July 2022 was doable and it was not too difficult. It was a balanced paper
