JEE Main Paper Analysis 4 April 2024 Shift 1: The National Testing Agency conducted Day 1 and Shift 1 of JEE Mains 2024 Session on April 4. Students appearing for the upcoming shifts of JEE Main exam 2024 on April 5, 6, 8, and 9 can check the detailed question paper analysis of JEE Main 2024 April 4 Shift 1 to understand the difficulty level. As per examinees, April 4 Shift 1 exam was Moderate with Mathematics being the most challenging section. Physics and Chemistry section was Easy.  Session 2 Day 1 Shift 1 examination was difficult compared to January session. In Physics out of the syllabus question was asked from Potential Meter. This will help students of upcoming shifts to plan their last-minute revision accordingly. Important Update| Students appearing for upcoming shifts must note to bring their original Aadhaar card, xerox copy, and Affidavit copy.  Also, biometric is being conducted for candidates before and after the shift this time for verification. This year, issues with biometric registration have been reported by examines across numerous centres. As a result, the JEE Main 2024 April 4 shift 1 exam began a little later than expected; nevertheless, students were granted extra time at the end.

  • Overall the Day 1 Shift 1 examination was balanced. The paper was of Moderate level.
  • As per the initial exam review, candidates found the April 2024 Shift 1 examination on the difficult side compared to the January session.
  • The mathematics section was a bit complex compared to the other two subjects.
  • Chemistry was easy and the questions were doable.
  • The chemistry section was dominated by Organic Chemistry followed by Physical and Inorganic chemistry.
  • In Mathematics, coordinate geometry carried higher weightage.
  • Questions from the mathematics section were a bit lengthy to attempt.
  • Physics was easy and the majority of the questions were formula-based.
  • Questions were different from that of the January session.
  • In Physics Potential meter question was observed which is not in the syllabus.
  • 3 to 4 Questions from current electricity were asked.
  • 2 questions from Electromagnetic were asked.
  • From conic-section 3 questions were asked.
  • The overall good attempts observed in Physics were 18 to 20,
  • Calculus was less asked in comparison to Algebra. Time management was the key to crack the mathematics section.
  • In Physics numerical based questions and multiple-choice questions were doable but lengthy.
  • The Physics section constituted fact-based questions from the Class 12th NCERT syllabus.
