Candidates can check the JEE Main 2025 Exam Analysis for 29 January Shift 1 through the students' reactions who have appeared for the exam below.

  • Maths was tough and lengthy with 3 questions from 3D Vector chapter (1 question from 3D and 2 questions from Vector), 2 questions from Integration, 2 questions from Differential Calculus, 1 lengthy question from Matrices and Determinants, 2 questions from Straight Line and Circle (1 question where candidates were supposed to find centroid and its image). 1 question from Limits, 1 question where differentiation was mixed with integration, 2 questions from PnC (Permutation and Combination) and Probability. 1 question from Binomial Theorem where the value of 'n' was asked. 2 questions from Conic Section {1 question was from Parabola (2 parabolas were intersected) and another from Ellipse (find 4 points and area of quadrilateral)}.
  • In Maths section, there was 1 question from Statistics which was very lengthy. 1 question from AP series which was also quite lengthy. 1 question was from Circle topic.
  • Physics was easy to moderate with 2 questions from Ray Optics (1 question was difficult), 2-3 questions from Electrostatics, 2 question from Modern Physics out of which 1 was hard and 1 was doable. No questions from Current Electricity and 1 question from Rotation chapter (direct question to find Torque - RXF formula based) and Momemtum of Conservation chapter, each. 1 very easy question from Work done chapter. Projectile topic had 2 questions, 2 questions from Vertical Motion topic, 1 question from Centre of Mass. 1 difficult river boat question where projectile motion calculation was asked but students were not clear whether to do the calculation with respect to the observer standing  along the bank or the observer sitting in a boat. 2 questions from Kinematics chapter, 1 direct formula based pendulum question from SHM, 1 easy question where Electrostatics and SHM concepts were mixed, 2 questions from Magnetic Effect of Current, no questions from Capacitor. 1 direct question asking time period of dipole.
  • As per students, Physics in JEE Main 29 January 2025 Shift 1 had more theory (statement-based) questions. Most questions came from class 11th Syllabus in Physics. 1 direct and easy question came from Fluid Mechanics where bulk modulus was given and candidates were asked to calculate ∆v/v. 1 simple question from logic gate. 1 easy and direct question from Thermodynamics about Adiabatic Process. 2 questions from Units and Dimensions (1 direct and easy question where velocity of an object was given along with at2 value and another very easy question was given where pairs were given and candidates were asked to find which pair's dimension isn't the same). 1 question from EM Waves, no questions from wave and resistance. No questions from Gravitation chapter. 1 easy question from Electromagnetism where flux was asked to calculate.
  • Chemistry was moderate with 1 question from GOC (number of Nucleophiles were asked), 2 questions from Chemical Bonding. Most questions were from Physical Chemistry (around 10-11 questions) followed by Inorganic Chemistry then Organic Chemistry. Physical Chemistry dominated in numerical type questions. In few numericals Organic Chemistry was mixed with Physical Chemistry. 7-8 direct formula-based questions in physical chemistry and rest questions were doable in Chemistry. No calculations were there in numericals of Physical Chemistry but direct equations were given. 1 integer-based question from Salt Analysis. 1 question from d and f block where candidates were supposed to calculate melting point.
  • In Chemistry, as per the aspirants, question from Electrochemistry topic was very easy. 1 question from Biomolecules (Question was Match the following type where Cellulose, Amylose, Amylopeptin, and Glycogen were given and on the other side their structures were given). 1 question from ionic equilibrium
