JEE Main Percentile Score January 2024: The percentile score of JEE Main January 2024 will be defined by the National Testing Agency as per the normalization process. The Paper 1 exam of JEE Main 2024 Session 1 is happening in 10 shifts. The difficulty level across all 10 shifts may not be similar, and the highest percentile scored by candidates in each shift differs. Therefore, NTA applies a normalization process to make sure that all candidates get equal weightage in terms of percentile allocation. NTA does not declare the scores of JEE Main 2024 which is out of 300 marks. Instead, NTA declares the percentile score that is out of 100.
The percentile score of a candidate represents the total percentage of examinees who have scored below or equal to him/her. Hence, due to this variable nature of the percentile calculation, JEE Main marks vs percentile ratio changes every year and even with every session. However, with the patterns observed through the multiple sessions of the exam over the years, a comprehensive average analysis for the expected JEE Main percentile score for January 2024 is provided here.
