Beating all the odds, two daughters, each from a marginalised farmers’ family passed JEE Main 2020 with flying colours. Making their parents proud, Kajal from Indachi Village, Fatehabad and Simran from Hasangarh village, Rohtak have scored 99.31% and 99.47% respectively in JEE Main 2020. Both the girls are among the 46 of 48 students who were a part of Haryana Government’s Super 100 Programme, making it up to the topper list of JEE Main 2020.
Simran wants to pursue Computer Science Engineering from an IIT and wishes to support her family in future. She said that she is very happy with her JEE Mains score and meanwhile, is looking to excel in JEE Advanced 2020 . She further added that even though her father has become paralysed due to a recent accident, he still supported her to do her best in studies. She has pursued her education till 10th through a government school in her village and has secured 90% in her 10th board exam.

On the other hand, Kajal gives her success credits to the Super 100 Programme by Haryana Government which aims to give education to underprivileged students. She stated that I read about the JEE Main exam in newspaper and wished to crack the exam since then. My teachers boosted my confidence and supported me in every way to make my dream come true. In future, Kajal wants to pursue her education from IIT and wants to give free coaching to underprivileged students. She says I am really grateful to Naveen sir, the headteacher of the Super 100 programme, who helped us realise our dream. Also, I want to add up to the initiative of educating underprivileged students in future.

Kajal’s father, Shubhcharan Malik, who has studied till 12th says he is very proud of his daughter and gives the credit of her success to Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Indachoi village.
