JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research) is conducting a final counselling round to fill in the vacant MBBS course seats on 26th September 2019. The counselling process will be conducted at the mini auditorium in JIPMER’s academic centre.
After conducting the counselling process on 19th September 2019, two seats for general unreserved category remained vacant in the Puducherry campus of the institute. Now, to fill those seats for the general unreserved category, a final counselling process will be conducted.

JIPMER has published a list of candidates that are eligible for the final counselling process on its official portal. The registration will close for the counselling at 11 am on 26th September 2019. The candidates who will get admission in the course must join on 27th September 2019 after JIPMER MBBS Examination conducted by the institute.
The aspirants who have already opted for seats in other colleges or institutes are also allowed to attend the counselling process. For that:
Aspirants must produce a certificate from the principal or dean of the institute or college mentioning that the certificates were held in their institution.
Candidates must also submit attested copies of those certificates.
If the candidate fails to submit the original certificates after joining JIPMER (before 30th September 2019), the allotted seat will stand cancelled.

This year, during the MBBS course admissions at the institute, many cases of fake documentation were reported. Complaints were filed saying that many students have managed to get admission in the institute under Puducherry quota by fake certificates. Taking action on this issue, the institute cancelled the admission of some students.
