The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has introduced a five year integrated (B.Sc-M.Sc) integrated course in Ayurveda Biology. Candidates willing to take admission in the integrated course in Ayurveda Biology can apply for the course can apply which is open for the coming academic session (2020-21).
Admission in JNU integrated course will be considered on the basis of JNUEE entrance examination which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). JNUEE application deadline is May 15, 2020.

Jagdesh Kumar, JNU vice-chancellor through a tweet said that in Europe more people are interested in Ayurveda, the traditional healing art of India. He added that the first university degree (MSc in Ayurvedic Medicine) in Germany in cooperation with Middlesex University, London) produces skilled professionals with appropriate knowledge of Ayurveda.
In another tweet, he quoted a saying by National Ayurvedic Medical Association, the USA which says that the origin of Ayurveda is dated back over 5000 years ago in India and the Ayurveda focuses on harmonizing the unique constitution of an individual with the natural rhythms of our world.

JNU has also published UGC helpline number and email ID on the official website for students to ask any query related to coronavirus pandemic. The instruction was received to all the educational institutes in India by UGC to set up a task force to handle queries and grievances of students, teachers and institutes arose due to COVID-19 pandemic.
