The exam pattern of LSAT India (Law School Admission Test - India) has been revised. The Law School Admission Council (LSAC) Global has decided to remove the additional 'Variable' section from the exam pattern of LSAT India . This ‘Variable’ section was added by the council earlier and had a total of 23 questions. It was based on topics comprising Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, or Reading Comprehension.
However, the exam pattern of LSAT will now consist of four sections only. The sections of LSAT India have been listed below.

- Analytical Reasoning
- Reading Comprehension
LSAT India 2020 had been scheduled to be held on several days beginning from June 14, 2020 onwards but the dates have been postponed due to the clashing of the CBSE board exams. LSAT India 2020 will now be conducted July 19, 2020 onwards and the registrations will go on till July 5, 2020. Moreover, the examination will be conducted in a home-based remotely proctored mode this year so as to avoid the health risks prevailing due to the coronavirus pandemic and to follow the guidelines of social distancing.

LSAT India Exam Pattern 2020
The candidates who are appearing for LSAT India 2020 can check the exam pattern given in the table below. The LSAT India 2020 sectional weightage has been provided so that the test takers get a better understanding of the examination.

When LSAC had added the 'Variable' section in the examination of LSAT India, it had also increased the total duration of the exam by 35 minutes. However, now that the section has been removed, the total duration of LSAT India 2020 will be 2 hours and 20 minutes, 35 minutes each for every section. The time allocated for each section is not rigid and the candidates will be able to utilise the remaining time of their exam to attempt the unanswered questions from all the sections.

Since the variable section was kept as an unscored section, the marking scheme of LSAT India remains unchanged. The result of LSAT India 2020 will be evaluated on a scale of 420 - 480 score band and percentiles. The marking scheme of LSAT India does not comprise negative marking, hence there will be no deduction in scores in case of any wrong attempts by the candidates.
