Maharashtra HSC (12th) Paper Pattern 2023

Maharashtra HSC Blueprint 2023: The question paper for the annual examination is split into four sections: A, B, C, and D. The question types that will be asked in Maharashtra HSC Mathematics 2023 paper are MCQs, short answer, and long answer type questions, which are segregated into these sections. The mathematics paper is set for a total of 112 marks, out of which the candidate only has to answer for 80 marks.

In Maharashtra HSC 2023 mathematics paper, theory questions hold a weightage of 15% (17 marks) while the rest is given to numerical questions.

The question paper format as per the sections is detailed below:

1. Section A

  • Q.No.1 Select and write the most appropriate answer from the given alternatives for each sub-question. [2 marks each]
  • Sub-questions: (i) to (viii)
  • Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
  • Marks without options: 16 marks
  • Marks with options: 16 marks
  • Q.No.2 Answer the following questions. [1 mark each]
  • Sub-questions: (i) to (iv)
  • Type: Very Short Answer (VSA)
  • Marks without options: 4 marks
  • Marks with options: 4 marks

2. Section B

  • Attempt any EIGHT of the following questions. [2 marks each]
  • Questions: Q.No.3 to Q.No.14
  • Type: Short Answer-I (SA-I)
  • Marks without options: 16 marks
  • Marks with options: 24 marks

3. Section C

  • Attempt any EIGHT of the following questions. [3 marks each]
  • Questions: Q.No.15 to Q.No.26
  • Type: Short Answer-II (SA-II)
  • Marks without options: 24 marks
  • Marks with options: 36 marks

4. Section D

  • Attempt any FIVE of the following questions. [4 marks each]
  • Questions: Q.No.27 to Q.No. 34
  • Type: Long Answer (LA)
  • Marks without options: 20 marks
  • Marks with options: 32 marks
