NEET UG 2022 aspirants run campaign on twitter for exam postponement

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2022 is scheduled to be conducted on July 17, 2022, and due to the short gap between the CBSE board exams and NEET UG exam, the candidates across the nation have decided to raise their voice on Twitter for the exam postponement. For the same, the students proposed to raise a campaign on June 2, 2022 (Thursday) from 6 pm onwards with the hashtag “NTAdeferNEETUG”.

CBSE Board exam will end on June 15, 2022, hence, the medical aspirants will be left with one month for NEET UG 2022 preparation. For better preparation, the aspirants want the NTA to extend the NEET UG exam 2022 at least by 4 to 6 weeks so that it can be rescheduled to late August or early September.

The students also highlighted that NEET UG 2022 exam date will clash with national level entrance tests like CUET 2022 . Though the CUET 2022 exam date is not yet officially announced, it can be assumed that the exam will be scheduled tentatively in July 2022. Consequently, the candidates will get less time for preparation after conducting the CUET exam.

Not only the CUET exam but there will also be another clash with JEE Main 2022 phase 2 and the NEET UG exam. Once the NTA opened the NEET UG correction window on May 24, 2022, the students again started to demand exam postponement.

10,000 students already submitted a written petition to the National Testing Agency (NTA), however, did not get any solution in favour of the NEET UG exam postponement. Parents also wrote to the education ministry urging the NEET UG postponement. Hence, the students agreed to start the campaign on June 2 through Twitter.
