The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) was conducted on July 17 in 497 exam centres across the country with more than 18 lakh students participating in it. The NEET 2022 question paper consisted of 200 MCQs out of which 180 had to be answered in 3 hours and 20 minutes. The Chemistry section of the NEET question paper consisted of 50 questions of which 45 needed to be answered. NEET 2022 Chemistry Question Paper Analysis: Marking Scheme

As known, the NEET 2022 Chemistry paper had 45 questions or 4 marks each, making it a total of 180 marks. Students were rewarded 4 marks for every right answer and penalized 1 mark for every wrong answer. No marks were rewarded for questions left unanswered. Here is a detailed overview of the section-wise marking scheme for the Chemistry section in NEET 2022:

NEET 2022 Chemistry Paper Analysis: Important Highlights (Reaction of Examinees)

The Chemistry section has always been an important part of the NTA NEET exam with all three sections, namely Organic, Inorganic and Physical Chemistry bearing high weightage. Based on the NEET 2022 Chemistry question paper reactions by students, the section was moderately difficult this year. Many students stated that although most of the questions were from the syllabus, the overall difficulty level was harder than the previous year. Some said that the NEET 2022 Chemistry paper was lengthy and tricky to their surprise.

Out of the 45 questions from the Chemistry section of the NEET 2022 exam paper, only 15 questions were easy for the majority of the candidates to solve, 24 questions were moderately difficult, and 11 questions were hard to answer.

Questions were mostly based on the chapters, namely Thermodynamics, Electrochemistry, Chemical bonding, f and d block elements etc.
