NEET Expected Cutoff 2024 for General Category: The cutoff for the NEET UG examination 2024 is fixed at the 50th percentile for the general or unreserved category. However, as the marks to percentile conversion change every year, it changes the cutoff marks as well, regardless of the percentile remaining the same. Hence, the NEET cut-off can better be predicted from marks vs percentile analysis than that of the previous years’ trends.

As per our analysis of the same, if the highest score in NEET 2024 is assumed to be 720 marks, then it can be expected that NEET cutoff 2024 for the general category will be 136 marks. But if the highest score comes to be less than 720 marks, then the cutoff will decrease.

Only above NEET UG cutoff marks will the candidate be eligible to take admission even via the Paid Seats Quota. In the general category, about 12 to 12.5 lakh candidates are likely to be eligible for paid admissions. The central MCC counselling will be conducted for about 23,000 seats, regardless of quota or category.
