Admission to MBBS and BDS programmes offered by various Government, Private or Deemed Universities in India is done on the basis of NEET UG.

Selection Process:

  • Candidates must have pass the minimum eligibility criteria (i.e. 50% marks in 12 th Board exams with PCB) in order to be eligible for the selection processes of colleges.
  • Admission to medical and dental colleges is done solely on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in NEET UG.
  • Different merit lists are prepared for different category students. Admission to reserved seats are done on the basis of these lists.

Counselling Process:

Counselling procedure after NEET UG is conducted in three rounds. Check out the NEET online counselling procedure below:

  • Online Registration: To participate in NEET counselling, you will have to register for the counselling process by filling your basic details. Once you have registered successfully, a unique User ID and Password will be sent to the email ID and mobile number that you have registered. Log in using these credentials and fill in all the details asked in the process.
  • Choice Filling & Locking: You will now be allowed to select the medical/dental colleges & courses according to your preference. Save all the details that you have filled by clicking on the “Save” button & lock their choices.
  • Result Declaration: The result will be sent through a SMS or email containing all the details related to the allotted course & colleges after a few days of the counselling process. The seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of rank & opted choice of colleges.
  • Reporting to the Allotted College: After result announcement, candidates have to report in the allotted college and confirm their seat by paying the course fee. In case, the candidate failed to report in the allotted college at the given time frame the seats will be given to the next candidate.
