NExT Exam Mock Test:
The National Medical Commission has finally confirmed that the NExT exam which will replace NEET PG will be conducted twice a year, i.e., May and November. MBBS final-year students are eligible to appear for the NExT exam, and the first batch to appear for the NExT exam is the 2019 MBBS batch students. However, students who joined MBBS prior to 2018 might have the option to appear for the NEET PG exam. All the guidelines were explained by NMC through a webinar on
June 27
. However, the detailed guidelines on the NExT exam are yet to be released by NMC.
With an aim to ensure awareness to candidates on the NExT exam mode, pattern and nature of questions, NMC will be conducted a mock NExT exam on
July 28
for which the online registration began on
June 28
. AIIMS Delhi will be conducting the
Step 1 exam of NExT
, and it will be the official conducting body.

Important details regarding NExT Mock Test
Here are the important details pertaining to the mock test of NExT –- Only the final-year MBBS students are eligible to appear for mock/ practice test
- The sample questions asked in the mock test do not reflect the complete NExT Step 1 syllabus but it will familiarize the candidates with the pattern
- The mode of the mock test is computer-based (online exam), and the main Step 1 exam will also be conducted in CBT format

List of Subjects in NExT Step 1 Exam
The Step 1 exam of NExT is divided into six subjects, and the exam will be conducted in 3 days. While the 3 major subjects are of 3 hour duration, the rest of the subjects are of 90-minute duration. Here is the list of subjects –
