About NIRF
The MHRD adopted the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) on September 29, 2015. This framework describes a way for ranking institutions across the country. The overall score is calculated using the weights assigned to each category. The overall score has a maximum value of 100. The institutions can then be ranked according to their scores. The NIRF ranking is one of the primary decision criteria for admission to the institute. Higher NIRF Ranking education institutes or universities may attract greater student admission interest.
