NMAT 2022 Exam Day Instructions, Tips for Home-Based Candidates, and COVID-19 Guidelines

NMAT 2022 exam registration process has been initiated on August 1, 2022. Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC) has announced the release of the NMAT 2022 application process. The NMAT 2022 exam is expected to be conducted from October 2022 on online mode. Candidates must follow the instructions and COVID_19 guidelines on the NMAT 2022 exam day.  The exam will be conducted on multiple dates over a span of 75 days. Candidates will be free to take the test on any date suitable to them.

NMAT 2022 Admit Card

GMAC issues the NMAT 2022 admit card for every candidate who has registered for the exam. Candidates can begin downloading their admit card as soon as their fee payment is accepted, which is usually within 24 hours of the payment. The admit card can be printed by logging in at the official website of NMAT ( nmat.org ).

NMAT 2022 Exam Day Instructions

GMAC issues the exam-day instructions for the candidates who are appearing for the test on any given day. The following important instructions must be noted by the candidates to be followed on the exam day for NMAT 2022.

  • Candidates must bring their NMAT 2022 admit cards along with them to the examination center. No candidate will be permitted to appear for the exam without their valid admit card.

  • Along with the admit card, candidates must bring the following Photo ID proof in original:

    • Driving License

    • Voter ID

    • Aadhar Card

    • Passport

  • Candidates must also carry a printed copy of their confirmation mail to the exam center.

  • Candidates must report to the exam center at least 30 minutes before the starting time of the exam.
    It is advisable to reach earlier to avoid any last-minute rush.

NMAT 2022 Tips for Home-Based Test

This year, candidates have been given an option to appear for NMAT 2022 in the home-based proctored format. Here are some of the tips for the candidates appearing for the home-based version of the NMAT to help them avoid hassle and save time in the test.

  • Candidates must use their personal computers and laptops only to attempt the test. They should not use their official computers or public computers such as cyber cafes.

  • Candidates should download and install Zoom to help save time before the test.

  • Some technical issues have been reported by the candidates appearing for home-based NMAT. The proctor will help the candidates download the software for the exam but in case of any issue, they may be given a slot on a later date.

  • Candidates must keep original physical copies of their ID proof with them during the exam. Any soft copies or electronic IDs are not being accepted as valid.

NMAT 2022 COVID-19 Guidelines

The following important guidelines must be noted by the candidate as a precaution against COVID-19.

  • Candidates must follow the social distancing norms at all times and maintain space between themselves and other candidates as well as invigilators at the exam center.

  • Candidates will be required to wear masks at all times while at the examination center. No candidate will be permitted to enter without a face mask. Some candidates are also taking extra precautions by wearing face masks.

  • Candidates are prohibited to bring any electronic devices such as mobile phones, watches, calculators, etc. inside the examination hall.

  • Candidates have also been prohibited to bring stationery items to the center. The conducting authority will be making necessary arrangements in this regard.

  • For proper storage of backpacks and mobile phones, some NMAT 2022 exam centers had the facility of lockers so that candidates can secure their belongings before appearing for the exam.

  • The exam body has also ensured that proper sanitisation of the exam center takes place and sanitisers have been placed at various locations for the convenience of the candidates.
