NMIMS Deemed-to-be-University’s School of Design (SOD), Mumbai , has recorded 100% placements for the first batch of B.Des (Humanising Technology). Regarding this achievement, Prof. Manisha Phadke, Director, NMIMS School of Design congratulated the students who successfully bagged placements with some of the top recruiters. She also mentioned that the curriculum at NMIMS School of Design has been curated in such a manner that enables students to unearth their individual strengths and trains them accordingly for a variety of job profiles.

Some of the top recruiters at the institute included Axis Bank, The Minimalist, Deloitte, YUJ Designs, Freecharge, Parallax Labs, etc. Students were also placed across various sectors and 52% of students were recruited by design Agencies, 19% by consulting firms, 14% into edu tech, 10% in banking, and 5% in integrated marketing communications. Some of the top job profiles during the current placement session were Innovation Designer, Digital Product Designer -AR, Associate XR Designer, Solutions Designer, Design Researcher, and Interaction and Technology Designer.
B.Des (Humanising Technology) offered by NMIMS is a 4-year AICTE approved UG course which comprises training by the highly experienced faculty in leveraging design to make technology more accessible to users. To get admission at NMIMS SOD, students need to appear for NMIMS DAT or NMIMS Design Aptitude Test - it includes an online studio test, personal interview, and portfolio review.
