OnePlus announces Scholarships (Image credit: Pexels)for IIT Madras StudentsOnePlus Announces Scholarships for IIT Madras Students: OnePlus, one of the top Global Technology Brands, has announced the Scholarship program for IIT Madras students. As per the announcement, the financial scholarship program such as “Never Settle” has been launched for new and existing candidates of the undergraduate BTech program of IIT Madras.
The students will be chosen based on the merit cum eligibility criteria. The same will be managed by the scholarship review process of the IIT Madras. The primary aim of the Never Settle Scholarship program is to make better the financial burden of education.
Professor Mahesh Panchagnula, Dean, of Alumni and Corporate Relations of IIT Madras mentioned that the Institute is honored to be partnered with OnePlus for the newly launched partnership. It will empower future innovators both in Science and Technology. The scholarship program will motivate the Indian Youth in their brighter academic landscape.
In return, the founder of OnePlus, Pete Lau stated that the tech brand targets to come up with constant innovation. Hence, this collaboration with IIT Madras will bring immense significance and the venture together will shine brighter in the community.
On the other hand, after the first round of Placement, 50% of students of IIT Madras have already got placements. Whereas, the median salary for most of the candidates is above 19 lakh. Apart from that, 55% of the recruited candidates, who belonged to the socially and economically backward classes, got placements.
