Overall Analysis of JEE Main 2024 January 31: As per our subject experts the overall JEE Mains 2023 Day 3 Paper 1 examination was of Moderate Level. Unlike the previous days, Physics was not that easy. Overall the Physics section was 'Moderate' as numericals and MCQs were relatively complex to solve. Going with the pattern, Day 3 exam also witnessed the majority of questions being asked from Class 12th NCERT syllabus. The Chemistry section was 'Easy' where maximum questions were found from Organic Chemistry. The overall Mathematics section was lengthy. However, the questions were doable as per the majority of candidates.

The Day 3 Paper 1 Chemistry section had major questions from Organic Chemistry followed by Physical Chemistry. Fewer questions were asked from Inorganic Chemistry which were direct. The match the following kist type question was asked from Thermodynamics, Chemical Bonding, and Atomic Structure. The topics asked from the section were d & f block elements, Coordination Compounds, Periodic Table, Chemical Kinetics Alcohol, Aryl & Alkyl halides, Mole Concept, Amines, and Ether & Phenol.

The Physics section of Day 3 Shift 1 exam observed a few out-of-syllabus questions from Earth Magnetism. Comparatively, the questions were calculative but balanced. Questions were asked from Work Power & Energy, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Heat & Thermodynamics, Gravitation, Modern Physics, Magnetism, Optics, Capacitance, Current Electricity, and Semiconductors. A few numerical-based questions were lengthy and the maximum was from NCERT Class 12th syllabus.

By going with the trend, the Mathematics section was Moderately Difficult. However, students reported that even though the section had challenging calculations, questions were still doable. Numericals from ‘Calculus & Coordinate’ were tough and lengthy. More than 1 question was asked from Vectors, 3-D Geometry, Differential Equations, Matrices and Limits.
