Overall Analysis of JEE Main 2024 January 31: Day 4 of the JEE Main 2024 session 1 exam has been concluded today for both shifts. Based on our Subject Experts, the overall paper for Day 4 was Moderate. Mathematics was as usual lengthy and involved complex calculations. Questions from AP and GP sections were observed, although they were deleted from the JEE Main 204 syllabus. Chemistry was the highest marks-attaining section for candidates which was easiest compared to the other two subjects. The physics section was doable yet was Moderate for candidates as certain calculations for numerical-based problems were tricky.

The Mathematics of Day 4 examination was difficult and involved time-consuming calculations. Questions from Calculus and Algebra were dominated in the section followed by Vectors, Determinants, Probability, and Quadratic Equations where 2 to 3 questions from each topic were asked. Overall 8 to 10 questions were doable and candidates found the quality of the questions to be good. Candidates are advised to focus on time management while attempting the mathematics section in coming shifts and sessions.

Overall Physics of Day 4 (Shift 1 and Shift 2) was Moderately Difficult. The numericals in the section were a bit tricky and lengthy. The Physics section was dominated by Electrostatics & Current Electricity out of which 4 questions were from each topic. The topics from which more than 1 question was asked are Gravitation, Kinematics, Modern Physics, Newton’s Laws of Motion, and Magnetism. Few fact-based questions were duly reported in the section from the NCERT syllabus.

Day 4 Chemistry was Easy like earlier exam days and shifts. Organic Chemistry had the upper hand over Physical and Inorganic Chemistry. Very less questions were asked from Physical Chemistry that were numerical based with tricky calculations. Most of the questions were NCERT-based. The chemistry section was dominated by d-block elements, General Organic chemistry,  Chemical Bonding, and  Phenol and Ethers.
