Mr. Pinaki Talukdar, Associate Professor at Indian Institute of Science, Education and Research or IISER has gained the attention of many by winning a bronze medal from CRSI or Chemical Research Society of India or CRSI for his significant contribution in the field of Chemistry.
Mr. Pinaki Talukdar has been associated with Indian Institute of Science, Education and Research since 2005. For the past few years, he has been working in organic synthesis of chemicals including biology and supramolecular chemistry.
Currently, Mr. Pinaki Talukdar and his team have been working on developing fluorescent probes that facilitate figuring out biologically relevant species on the Earth. Chemical Research Society of India is an organisation that works towards promoting quality of Chemistry education in India.

The total strength of CRSI is over 1,800, and the council organises programmes with positive international participation for promoting research in chemistry as well as its allied branches. In the year 2016, Prof. VG Anand from IIESR bagged the bronze medal for his contribution in a specific domain.
Giving more emphasis to research will boost up the international rankings of the Indian institutes. Addressing at a meeting in West Bengal, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar indicated that the government with support the Indian universities and institutes financially for improving research facilities as well as infrastructure. With an objective to regulate Indian students going abroad for research, the government is providing stipends under PM Scholarship scheme. The government is hoping for better research output in the coming years.
