Reservation Quota in UPSC 2023 : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will offer relaxation to all aspirants planning to sit for various competitive examinations. As per the Reservation System in India, all UPSC candidates from General, ST, SC, OBC, PWD, and EWS will get relaxation on the age limit, exam fees, number of attempts, and cut-off score.
Reservation Quota in UPSC 2023: Category-Wise
The following is the category-wise reservation for all UPSC applicants:
General (EWS): 10%
Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%
Schedules Tribe (ST): 7.5%
Other Backward Class (OBC): 27%
A person with Disabilities (PwD): 34%
Reservation Quota in UPSC 2023: Particular Wise
UPSC candidates will get the following relaxation in different particulars:
Age Limit : The age limit for PwD is 42. For General (EWS), it is between 21 to 32 years. For SC and ST, it is 21 to 37 years, and for OBC, it is between 21 to 35 years.
Number of Attempts : The number of attempts for General (EWS) is 6, and for OBC and PwD, it is 9. For SC and ST, it is unlimited.
Application Fees : The application fees are free of cost for PwD candidates. For general and OBC, it is Rs. 100. For SC and ST; the fee is exempted.
CutOff Mains : The cut-off Mains for General (EWS), SC, ST, and OBC are 687, 680, 682, and 698, respectively. The cut-off Prelims for PwBD - 1, PwBD-2, PwBD-3, and PwBD are 65-76, 48-58, 35-45, and 47-58, respectively.
CutOff Prelims : The cut-off Mains for General (EWS), SC, ST, and OBC are 77.55, 74.84, 68.71, and 89.12, respectively. The cut-off Prelims for PwBD - 1, PwBD-2, PwBD-3, and PwBD are 668, 712, 388, and 560, respectively.
