Selection & Counselling Process after NIFT UG Entrance Exam

National Institute of Fashion Technology conducts an entrance examination for the admission to UG courses. The candidates can check the detailed selection and counselling process here.

Selection Process: -

• The selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in Written Examination, Situation Test/ Group Discussion/ Personal interview.
• Only those candidates who qualify in the written exam will be called for the Second Stage of the admission process.
• The institute follows reservation policy strictly while allotting seats.

Counselling Process: -

• Counselling process will commence after the declaration of NIFT UG entrance exam results.
• Detailed merit or selection list will be published on the official website of NIFT.
• The list of the candidates who are in waiting list will also be published on the official website.
• The candidates need to check the counselling schedule on the official website and report at the venue on stipulated date and time.
• The candidates will be intimated through post or mail regarding the counselling schedule.
• The candidates need to carry all the required documents to the counselling process along with Demand Draft (DD) of the course fee.
• The candidates will not be allowed to transfer college or course once allotted.
• If there are more than 10% seats vacant in reserved categories, these seats will be transferred to General category.
• If the candidate fails to report or join in the course within the ten days of seat allotment, his/her admission will be cancelled and course fee will not be refunded.
