The UPSC or the Union Public Service Commission has released the results of Combined Geo-Scientist & Geologist Exam 2017. The results are available on the website of UPSC. The results have been released based on the performance of the candidates in Written Exam and Personality Test. The selection process has been wrapped up by October 2017.

Final Details on UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist & Geologist Appointment:
- After the final selection process, i.e., Personality Test, a total number of 78 candidates have been recommended for the appointment of different posts that come under Category I and Category II
- Under the Category I, the selected candidates will be directly appointed to different roles in Geological Survey of India
- Under the Category II, the selected candidates will be directly appointed to posts in Central Ground Water Board
- The Government of India as per merit position shall make appointments to the above-mentioned posts
- A total number of 25 candidates have been selected for the service ‘Geologist’
- A total number of 33 candidates have been selected for the service ‘Hydro Geologist’
- A total number of 10 candidates have been selected for the service ‘Geo Physicists’
- UPSC has selected 10 candidates for the service ‘Chemist’
