VVIT College , Nambur celebrated Sports day in a grand manner at college premises on 30-March-2016. The celebrations commenced at 4.30 PM and continued till 6.30 PM. Various sports competitions have been conducted to the students of the college for the past one week and prize distribution to the winners took place on the occasion of sports day.
The chief guest for the celebrations was, Ms.Naina Jaiswal, National level Table Tennis player. Addressing the students she spoke that, “Sports play an important role in a life of a person. It not only develops physical fitness but also develops it cultivates self-confidence and courage. Students have to move on with self-confidence to face all the hurdles that come up in life. Students should always try to improve their memory power by learning various things. It is better if students develop proficiency in more than 3 languages for the bright career”
College Chairman Vidya Sagar spoke about Naina Jaiswal that, “She is a role model for today’s youth, especially for the girl students. She completed 10 th standard at the age of 8 years and degree at the age 13. This shows her memory power, self-confidence, and courage. She not only concentrated on academics but also on sports. Within a short period of time, she became a national level table tennis player”.
Later prizes were distributed to the winners of sports competitions. The chief guest was felicitated by the college management and faculty. College principal, Mallikarjuna Reddy congratulated the prize winners.
