For the third year in a row, the peaks of the pandemic waves are coinciding with the examination period of multiple state as well as national boards of India. Omicron spike has already led to the closing of educational institutions across the country, and for the Education Board authorities, these inflating numbers arise a great challenge to conduct their respective board exams in all safety with the participation of tens of lakhs of students.
Prior to 2022, students all over the country saw cancellation, and with the rise of Omicron, despite the vaccination, students of the batch of 2022 stand on the threshold of maybe and maybe not.

Most of the state boards like Maharashtra , Rajasthan , Madhya Pradesh, etc. and even national boards like CBSE currently possess an unyielding opinion to not cancel their Class 10 and Class 12 board exams. Depending on the condition of the pandemic, delaying the examinations is taken into consideration. Not only that, like online teaching, the thought of undertaking online examinations is also proving to be a worthwhile option.
For now, all schools and colleges have once again resumed online until further notice. While an air of uncertainty pertains to the idea of postponement, students are advised to continue their preparation as though their examinations would go independent of the COVID-19 situation. And if Board Exams 2022 are conducted, they would be conducted under strict social distancing rules, while vaccination rules would differ from board to board.
