Putting the focus on the lack of gap between the NEET UG 2021 Counselling and the NEET UG 2022 Exam , medical aspirants this year have raised their demands to postpone NEET UG once again. With several demands to postpone NEET PG 2022 eventually failing, the concerned authorities for NEET UG which include the NTA and the Union Health Ministry are under a lot of pressure from medical aspirants and other organisations.
After the NTA postponed the JEE Main and Advanced examinations for 2022, NEET UG aspirants have been calling for the postponement of the medical exam as well. Citing the reasons for making this demand, medical aspirants have been claiming that there is not enough time to prepare for the exam with all the delays that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has made in releasing the official notification and registration details. Since the delays have been made by the concerned authorities who were supposed to release the notification at a reasonable time, the aspirants are unwilling to bear the brunt of their delay.

Several aspirants also have a problem with the NEET 2022 exam date clashing with the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 and other state-level examinations. Students have been sending postcards and letters to the Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan at the Parliament House in hopes that the exam will be postponed under sufficient pressure from the student community and its allies.
With the CBSE Board exams concluding on June 15, 2022, there will be very little time for aspirants to properly prepare and revise for NEET UG 2022 and appear for a satisfactory examination in the process. Over 10,000 students have already sent letters to the National Testing Agency (NTA) demanding the postponement of NEET UG for this year. At the very least, a deferment of the exam date by 4-5 weeks has been requested by the students. Even the parents have joined the online petitions and protests over the postponement of the NEET 2022 exam.

With folded hands, some parents had requested via letters - "Its my request to you with folded hands to take up this matter in the interest of the students and postpone NEET UG to late August or early September so that they can prepare well for the exam" .
However, even with so much dissatisfaction and protests, it is not that likely that the exam date for NEET UG 2022 will be changed. Looking at the refusal of the conducting body and the Union Health Ministry to postpone NEET PG 2022, the conjecture is that NEET UG will also take place as scheduled.
