XAT 2021 Exam and Question Paper Analysis (Out), Answer Key and Solutions

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2021 was conducted from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on January 3, 2021. Candidates appearing for XAT 2021 this year had to follow the COVID-19 norms in addition to the exam day guidelines provided by XLRI Jamshedpur . Candidates reported to their exam centres as per the reporting time slot provided on the email sent to their registered Email ID. XAT 2021 was 3-hour exam and candidates had to go through 4 sections divided in Part 1 containing 3 sections, and Part 2 containing 1 section. XAT 2021 Exam Analysis (Out)

XAT 2021 concluded at 12:30 pm. Student reports have now started coming in from the exam centres. As per students who appeared for XAT 2021, the overall difficulty this year ranged from Moderate to Difficult. The Quantitative and Data Interpretation section was quite lengthy and more difficult than last year. Students are reporting that there was more number of RC passage-based questions in the Verbal section. Candidates can keep checking this space for all of the latest updates regarding XAT 2021.

XAT 2021 Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning Analysis

The difficulty level of the Verbal Ability section in XAT 2021 is reported to be Moderate to Difficult with a lot of close options. The section was easier than last year. Students are reporting that Reading Comprehension and Critical Reasoning questions dominated in the Verbal Ability section this year. The Poem Comprehension question was present in this year's exam as well. The number of good attempts in this section in this section is expected to be around 12-15 questions.

XAT 2021 Decision Making Analysis

As per initial reports, the Decision Making section was Moderate this year. There were 7 sets with 3 questions in each. The passages were of average length and easy to read. A fewer number of sequencing-based questions are being reported in this year's exam. The expected number of good attempts to clear the sectional cutoff is expected to be around 12.

XAT 2021 Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation Analysis

The Quant section of XAT 2021 is being reported to be quite Difficult. Candidates found the questions to be lengthy and tricky. There was an additional DI set in this year's Quant section, and hence there were 3 DI sets with 3 questions each. There were a lot of indirect questions in this year's exam and the DI questions were very tricky. The good attempts are expected to be around 7 - 9. More updates will follow soon.

XAT 2021 General Knowledge Analysis

Initial inputs from the students suggest that the General Knowledge section in XAT 2021 was of Moderate difficulty. Most of the questions were based on Static GK this year. More updates soon.
