Dating back to 1907, St. Paul University Philippines is a private university operated and managed by the Sisters of Saint Paul of Chartres (SPC). Founded by the name Colegio de San Pablo, the university underwent a name change in 1909 and 1925, finally assuming its current name in 1948. In 1961, with the opening of college degrees, St. Paul University became the first institution in the region to be accredited by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU). With the motto of Making a Difference Globally, the university is accredited to NMC (National Medical Council), WHO (World Health Organisation) and CHED (The Commission on Higher Education). Other than that, it is also recognised by Medical Board California and General Medical Council - UK. Its achievements in the field of education have made it one of the top 100 universities in the Philippines.

St. Paul University, Philippines is situated in the capital city of the Cagayan Province - Tuguegarao city. Called the Centre of Education, the city houses a number of educational institutions. One of the must-visit public attractions in the city, which is also easily accessible from the university campus, is Don Domingo Public Market. Every year, the entire city looks forward to celebrating its annual festival called Afi Festival. The university offers a comfortable accommodation facility to its students with well-furnished rooms, 24X7 security and electricity.
