Perm State Medical University (PSMU) is one of the oldest Russian medical universities with the excellence of more than 100 years. The university was established in 1916, and it is one of the preferable destinations for medical education. Apart from being one of the oldest medical universities, Perm State Medical University is one of the biggest universities in Russia. In 1997, Perm State Medical University became one of the members of the European Association of Medical Schools. One of the unique features of Perm is that it holds the highest number of patents for its inventions and utility models.
