Ryazan State Medical University was established in 1950 and was named after the academician Ivan Petrovich Pavlov, the Russian physiologist. The university is recognised internationally and ranks at the 28th position among 70 Russian universities. RSMU has collaborated with many international education institutes as well as organizations such as the American Pharmaceutical Convention and the Medical University of Arizona. Ryazan State Medical University is recognized by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and NMC (National Medical Commission).
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
There are around 56 departments and 16 academic buildings available at the campus of Ryazan State Medical University. The campus is also equipped with a dental clinic, a consulting diagnostic polyclinic, a central scientific laboratory, a bee yard, a sports camp, a vivarium, a botanic garden, gyms, a mini-football field, two basketball courts and a tennis court. The library of the university has a range of scientific and educational literature in foreign languages. RSMU Ryazan has 4 hostel buildings that offer accommodation facilities to foreign students. Around 6 faculties including the Faculty of General Medicine, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Dentistry Medicine, Faculty of Preventive Health, the Faculty of Clinical Psychology and the Faculty of Pediatrics are available at RSMU Ryazan. The university also has a faculty of foreign students. RSMU has also collaborated with seven government hospitals and clinical centres in the state of Ryazan.
