History, Affiliations & Ranking 

The Indiana University of Pennsylvania is located in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. It is a public research university established as Indiana Normal School in 1875. In 1965, it achieved the status of a university and was named Indiana University of Pennsylvania. It is 89 kilometers from Pittsburgh. It has campuses at Monroeville, Northpointe and Punxsutawney. It is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.  According to the US News 2020 edition of Best Colleges, IUP is ranked 293-381 in National Universities.

Infrastructure, Campus & Colleges

The main campus of IUP is situated in the heart of Indiana i.e. Pennsylvania. It is spread over 374-acre land. The campus has a university museum, theatre and the highlight of the campus is the planetarium. The campus also has an extensive music library. The library at IUP has a collection of more than 900,000 books. It has one of the largest recreational parks spread over 280-acre land.

The Indiana University of Pennsylvania has 8 different colleges that offer 140 undergraduate programmes and 70 graduate degree programmes including Business, Information Technology, Education and Communication, Fine Arts, Health, Humanities, and Social Sciences, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, etc.

Accomplishments & Alumni

The faculties at IUP have won various Fulbright Exchange Awards for study and conducting research in 27 countries. The students of IUP have also won various accolades like Fullbright Scholar, Phi Kappa Phi Grants, Ronal E McNair Scholar, Finnegan Fellow, etc.  The sports team at IUP is called Crimson Hawks.

IUP has a great network of organisations and companies that provide internship and job opportunities to IUP graduates. The gender distribution of students at IUP is 42% male and 58% female. It has the maximum percentage of international students attending the university in the entire State System.
